The wait is over! Anglesea Football Netball Club is much loved and supported by the Anglesea community and after two years of challenging Covid restrictions and lockdowns, is super excited to be back, bringing one of its first event for 2023. For one night only AFNC will play host to some of Australia’s finest comedic talent with everyone’s favorite comedian, Dave O’Neil and the hilarious Des Dowling. Brooksy’s Comedy Carnival is set to be a ripper night of fun and hilarity while supporting AFNC raise funds for this much-loved club. MC’ed by the incomparable Brooksy (David Brooks - The Music Men) who first appeared on our screens in 1988 on Hey Hey It’s Saturday’s Red Faces will be joined by Mike Cole, an international, award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist based in Melbourne. Mike captures the voice, moves and complete aura of Elvis while performing Elvis’s vast aray of hit songs that will be sure to get everyone up dancing and singing along to iconic classics such as Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender and Hound Dog to name a few. Dave O’Neil has been a comedian for over 30 years and is one of Australia’s most recognized and loved stand-up comics. His career includes appearances in numerous Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and is well known for his role on the much-loved ABC TV show, Spicks and Specks. Des Dowling is an Australian comedian, actor, writer and producer, best known for his work on Australian TV shows including the Wedge, Agony Uncles, Coxy’s Big Break, Mark loves Sharon and Talk to the Animals. He has written and performed in several shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and performed stand-up in Canada and the UK. Where: Ellimatta Reserve, Ellimatta Road, Anglesea. When: Saturday 15th April, 2023, Doors open 6:30pm, show starts 7:30pm. Come and spend a night of side-splitting hilarity with some of Australia’s finest comedic talent while supporting Anglesea Football Netball Club.
